Ethiopia Leadership Academy

Ethiopia, a landlocked country in Northeast Africa, serves as a key node along China’s Maritime Silk Road and acts as a bridge connecting Africa. Over the 50 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations, political trust between China and Ethiopia has continued to strengthen, and cooperation in economy, culture, education, healthcare, and other fields has deepened, yielding fruitful outcomes.

The Meles Leadership Academy project covers a total construction area of approximately 120,000 square meters. As a specialized institution for training senior civil servants in Ethiopia, it represents a consensus project between the leaders of China and Ethiopia to deepen cooperation in the field of human resources. Upon completion, it will become a cradle for training senior government officials in Ethiopia and across Africa. The Academy frequently hosts local and international conferences, as well as daily training sessions, demanding high-quality audiovisual equipment. To build a modern and intelligent conference center, the Academy plans to focus on conference systems, signal switching, and central control. A systematic and integrated conference solution will significantly enhance the quality and efficiency of meetings at the Academy.

In response to the project’s requirements, CREATOR has designed a comprehensive conference solution that ensures stable operation, user-friendly control, and diverse functional capabilities. The solution includes nearly 400 sets of embedded CAT5 series conference systems, nearly 700 sets of infrared simultaneous interpretation systems, PRO series hybrid matrix switchers, and central control systems, meeting the Academy’s needs for daily and multifunctional conferences. The CAT5 series conference microphones and infrared interpretation systems are installed in multiple conference halls within the Academy, forming a large-scale infrared simultaneous interpretation system capable of wireless transmission and reception in any type of venue.

The infrared interpretation system supports up to 31+1 language channels, fulfilling the Academy’s need for multilingual communication during conferences. By transmitting audio and data signals via infrared light, the system remains entirely free from radio interference. Equipped with high-performance infrared radiation panels that offer strong coverage and stable signals, it ensures seamless signal distribution throughout the venue without any dead zones. Participants can use infrared receivers and bilateral headphones to select their desired language channel and enjoy high-fidelity audio output.

In addition to the conference discussion and infrared interpretation systems, CREATOR has also supplied PRO series hybrid matrix switchers and central control systems as per the client’s requirements. Multiple PRO hybrid matrix switchers are deployed across various functional areas of the Academy, enabling seamless switching, transmission, and unified management of audio and video signals. The central control system allows for centralized, intelligent, and user-friendly management of all equipment in each conference hall. Even non-technical personnel can easily control signal mode switching.
