The 53rd Pacific Islands Forum Leaders' Conference

The 53rd Pacific Islands Forum Leaders' Conference was held from August 26th to 30th in Nuku'alofa, the capital of Tonga. During the conference, leaders from across the Pacific region gathered to discuss significant regional issues. The Tonga Secondary School Gymnasium, built with aid from China, was successfully put into operation and served as the main venue for the summit. On August 22nd, Chinese Ambassador to Tonga, Liu Weimin, congratulated the successful opening of the gymnasium, stating that China provided support to ensure the successful hosting of the conference.

The newly built gymnasium utilized CREATOR WiFi conference systems, the PRO series graphical control platform, and the Tumeng central control system. The wireless WiFi conference system's key advantage is its use of the 5G WiFi band, which offers minimal interference and multiple channels. With non-directional signal transmission, obstacle penetration capability, and long transmission range, only one wireless router was needed to achieve full venue coverage based on the actual area. This cable-free solution required no secondary renovation, was venue-independent, and enabled complete setup within five minutes, significantly improving efficiency and quality while reducing costs.

The system features excellent mobile tracking capability, allowing arbitrary placement of conference units while automatically identifying active units and displaying their content on screen in real-time. Supporting both wired and wireless units through a single main unit, it offers high confidentiality and low latency. The PRO series graphical control platform managed all audio signal switching and transmission throughout the venue, while the Tumeng central control system enabled centralized device management and user-friendly operation, allowing easy control of signal mode switching even for non-professionals.

Completed four months ahead of schedule for this conference, the gymnasium project represents deepening China-Tonga relations and expanding practical cooperation, standing as a milestone in China's aid projects to Tonga.
