Mali International Conference Center

Mali, the second-largest country in West Africa, is situated on the southern edge of the Sahara Desert and maintains a traditionally friendly relationship with China. It is one of the key African nations receiving aid from China. Since the establishment of diplomatic ties, China has assisted Mali in constructing numerous projects, including textile mills, sugar refineries, leather factories, pharmaceutical plants, stadiums, conference buildings, hospitals, and the Bamako Third Bridge.

Since its completion in 1995, the Mali International Conference Center, built with Chinese assistance, has served as the primary venue for various large-scale international and domestic conferences in Mali. It stands as an iconic symbol of the friendship between China and Mali.

The total construction area of the Mali International Conference Center is approximately 11,800 square meters. In 2017, a decision was made to upgrade the facility. While preserving the original appearance of the building, the renovation project includes comprehensive repairs to the conference building, administrative office building, and power distribution rooms, as well as upgrades to the conference systems, security systems, and audiovisual management systems. Through this extensive renovation, the International Conference Center will play an even greater role in Mali's political, economic, and cultural life.

For the renovation project of the Mali International Conference Center, CREATOR's large-scale hybrid matrix switchers, programmable central control systems, and high-definition recording and broadcasting conference systems were deployed. To enhance the user experience, the functionality of the high-definition recording and broadcasting system has been upgraded. The system ensures more reliable and stable image transmission and storage during conferences, delivering finer, clearer image quality with superior color reproduction. It also supports various video splicing functions such as video scaling, arbitrary positioning, picture-in-picture, and picture-outside-picture, meeting the needs of large, medium, and small meeting rooms in the Mali International Conference Center. Additionally, it enables live web streaming, synchronous recording, video-on-demand, and video download functionalities with ease.

In the thousand-seat conference hall, reception rooms, banquet hall, and office building, multiple large-scale PRO hybrid matrix switchers were installed to facilitate seamless switching, transmission, and unified management of audio and video signals across different functional areas. For centralized control, CREATOR equipped the center with a central control system, enabling integrated and intelligent management of all devices with user-friendly operation. Even non-technical personnel can easily control signal mode switching in the venue.

China and Africa share a strong traditional friendship and a robust cooperative relationship. In recent years, China's aid to Africa has grown rapidly, with the scope of assistance expanding annually. This has positively contributed to improving socio-economic conditions and enhancing self-development capabilities in African countries. Following the nation's footsteps, CREATOR has participated in aid projects ranging from Africa to Oceania, from the University of Dar es Salaam in Tanzania to the Papua New Guinea International Conference Center. CREATOR continues to contribute its expertise and resources to support China's foreign aid projects.
