Meeting rooms and command centers are carrying more signals than before. A single space may include laptops, cameras, document cameras, video conferencing equipment, wall displays, LED screens, recording devices and monitoring workstations. Traditional point-to-point cabling can become difficult to expand when the room changes or more displays are added.
AV over IP is useful in these situations because it distributes audio and video signals through a network-based architecture. But the project still needs careful planning. The network, encoder and decoder quantity, signal resolution, control logic and daily operation should all be confirmed before installation.
